Is the Fiery Dragon Sword even that good?
I see that people always have fiery dragon swords. Are they eve that good. They look really cool but is it really effective in battle? Thanks.

Well a W/E build with conjure fire and a mxdmg dragon sword can be pretty effective in battle not to mention strength swordsmanship and firemagic. that combo will do pretty well in PVE cuz of the huge damage output. but mostly there like any other sword. and does any 1 know what a max damage purple dragon sword is going for these days i really want 1 for my new W/E.

I'd think Mark of Rodgort and a Fiery Dragon would be pretty nice.

Well in PVE it's great because it becomes an "elemental" attack and it whittles down some creatures that have improved defense vs "physical" attacks. In PVP it's about equal. There are some classes at the higher level armor that can get either increased armor vs elemental or increased armor vs physical like the monks, so that's why I carry two different swords, one physical and one elemental. If I see a monk with a lot of tattoos out comes the physical sword, if they are wearing cloth, out comes the elemental. You know fire burns cloth pretty quickly?
Rangers can get a specific elemental increased armor vs lightning, so a lightning sword/axe or air spells using lightning don't do as much damage, so here once again a Fire sword or physical sword would do the most damage the quickest. |

all swords are the same
you can find a clean 15-22 sword, add a fire damage mod and you have the exact same thing as the dragon sword BUT that's just the stats people want it because it's the only sword that have a graphical effect (fire) |

the fire effect is only specifically on the Fiery Dragon Sword - it's the sword Prince Rurick & the King wield. If you put a fire hilt on any other sword you will get the fire attack (rather than physical), but won't see the fire graphics that the FDS has.
